2. round

Have you ever seen an Austrian Soccer Team climbing up to the 2nd round at Worlds Championship? After scoring 6:0 against IsocRob and 2:0 against IsePorto, MostlyHarmless is facing the next step within world championship. The whole team did a great job, Informatics managed to solve the localization problem (our robots knew where they are on the field), Electronics repaired the broken engine of Gail and Mechanics is working the whole night to get the robots up and running. All we are looking forward is a “Cordoba-Effect” for the next and important game tomorrow. If you find time, cross your fingers and meet us at “Messecenter Graz – Hall A – Field A“ starting at 11:00 or live via Stream (http://www.ustream.tv/channel/518982) .

3rd place: MostlyHarmless succeed within technical challenge

Remember an Austrian Soccer Team ranked 3rd at worlds Championship? The Middle Size Team Mostly Harmless is currently ranked on the 3rd place after the first step, the Technical Challenge. The job has been to detect an “arbitrary Ball” which means, the Robot can’t count on playing only with red balls. Our Robot “Fenny“ masters to find any of 3 Balls again on the field and score a goal. The Team’s now qualified for the first preliminary round to meet the runner-up champion “TUe Eindhoven”, we wish you all good luck.

Analysing our wheels with IR cameraTo still ensure high quality and reliability of our robots while getting rid of all unnecessary weight we analysed the weight of every single component of our robots. We considered our cooling units to be removed but before executing this task we wanted to make sure that the robot is not getting too hot. On the left you see a result image of analysing the robots temperature during a test game.
